Alaina!

If you don't know our friend, Alaina Bearden, you're missing out. You're also in the minority, because she seems to be on a first-name basis with 2/3 of the world's people, plants, and animals. She's a happy, friendly, wonderful person who Dee got to know at school (while studying in Oxford, England) and who has been our friend ever since. She has recently moved to Boston, and she spent last weekend with us in Portland, Maine. We had a great time, and it was truly a blessing to spend the weekend with our dear friend. Next time, it will be our turn to visit her when we head to Boston in December to see Linda Eder.

Fall has begun

One of our favorite times of year has begun, and there's no better place to spend the month of October than New England. As you can see from this picture, most of the trees around here are still green, but some have begun to burst with beautiful Autumn color. They're scheduled to peak around October 15th, so there should still be plenty of great color when (Dee's) Mom and Aunt Linda visit later this month. We're looking forward to beautiful colors, colder weather, and the Holiday Season to come.
